Privacy Policy
Effective September 15, 2026
This policy explains what HoneyCAD collects and why. It sits alongside our Terms of Service.
1. What we collect
Account data: your email address and display name when you sign up. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's name and email. You can optionally add a Roblox username to your profile.
Community data: communities you create or join, your rank and callsign, unit statuses, dispatch calls, and the fictional civilian characters and vehicles you enter.
Usage data: basic technical logs (pages viewed, errors, sign-in events) used to keep the service running and secure.
2. What we don't collect
HoneyCAD is for roleplay. Do not enter real personal information about yourself or others into character records, call descriptions or notes — that data is meant to be fictional.
We do not collect payment card details directly; if checkout is enabled, payments are handled by the payment provider under their own privacy policy.
3. How we use data
To run the service: showing your communities, calls and records to you and the members you share them with.
To secure the service: enforcing access rules so only community members can see a community's data.
To improve the service: understanding which features are used and where errors happen.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not show advertising.
4. Who can see your data
Members of a community can see that community's calls, units, civilians and vehicle records — that's the point of a shared CAD.
Community owners and staff ranks can additionally manage members and settings.
Service providers that host and operate HoneyCAD (cloud database and hosting) process data on our behalf under strict contracts.
5. Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. Deleting a community permanently removes its calls, units, civilian and vehicle records.
You can delete your own civilian characters and edit your profile at any time.
To delete your account entirely, contact us and we will remove your profile and personal data, subject to records we must keep for legal reasons.
6. Security
Access to community data is enforced server-side with row-level access rules, so members can only reach the communities they belong to.
No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify affected users.
7. Children
HoneyCAD is used by gaming communities that include younger players. We do not knowingly collect more than the account data described above. If you are under 13, use HoneyCAD only with a parent or guardian's involvement.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the effective date above shows the latest version. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
Questions or deletion requests: reach us through the support link on the status page.
